Tom Brady, Gov. Charlie Baker get their heads shaved for charity

Sitting next to MA governor Charlie Baker, Brady had his head shaved - all for a good cause.

Tom Brady "shaved" his head, although most would say it was more accurately "buzzed". How about $7.5 MILLION for cancer research!? At this year's event, Granite Telecommunications announced a $5.8 million contribution raised for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Brady is going to have a shaved head because he made a decision to cut almost all of his hair off on Thursday for charity. Boston Red Sox president Sam Kennedy and Quincy Mayor Thomas Koch also attended the event.

Here's what Brady looked like when the haircut started. It was Baker's fourth "Saving by Shaving" appearance and Brady's first.

Brady proudly shared off his new 'do on Instagram, with the caption, "They call me Buzzy..."

"Benny was crying, Vivi was crying and they were sad for me and sad for the Patriots", Brady said, referring to his 8-year-old son, Benjamin, and 5-year-old daughter, Vivian. "Tom Buzzy", he wrote.
