Jamie Dimon says Gary Cohn's resignation from the White House is 'terrible'

Trump to visit California next week, San Diego stop expected

The main topic is the inherent violence portrayed in some video games which some lawmakers believe has contributed to a recent string of school shootings perpetrated mostly by teens and young adults. Previously, President Donald Trump has commented on how video game violence may be shaping the thoughts of America's youth, and made a decision to hold a meeting with top video gaming executives today to address the issue.

"Rep. Hartzler told The Washington Post that Trump opened the meeting by showing "a montage of clips of various violent video games", and then followed by asking 'This is violent, isn't it?'"

The White House chose not to include any scientists or psychologists who have studied or written about the possible link between video games and violence.

We haven't heard back yet from the game makers that attended the meeting, but here's hoping they have a better chance to have their side heard, instead of simply being dismissed because of opposite views.

Among the president's guests were Strauss Zelnick, chief executive officer of Rockstar Games; Pat Vance, president of Entertainment Software Rating Board; Mike Gallagher, president and CEO of the Entertainment Software Association; and Robert Altman, CEO of ZeniMax Media. She said she sought to convey the challenges of keeping violent games away from kids "even for the most diligent parent". According to reports (no press were allowed), Trump went around the table listening to various concerns from critics of the industry and opinions from video game company CEOs. And surprising nobody, the hour-long meeting produced very few actionable results.

Browns to acquire CB Damarious Randall
Taylor completed 62.6 percent of his passes, throwing for 2,799 yards and 14 touchdowns while being intercepted just four times. It also meant there was just no way the Browns planned on allowing Kizer to be a starter for the team again.

A study published on Monday by The Trade Partnership, an independent economic consulting group, found that about 33,500 steel jobs would be gained from the tariffs.

Ultimately, the upcoming meeting could spell the beginning of a new conservative crusade to regulate whether and how video games depicting graphic acts are sold, and to whom, at a time when the USA government is grappling to find a solution to an uptick in gun deaths around the country. "We appreciate the President's receptive and comprehensive approach to this discussion".

The EU insists that it is committed to open, global trade, and that Trump's tariffs are a protective measure to prop up US industry that could undermine the worldwide trading system. The conversation centered on whether violent video games, including games that graphically simulate killing, desensitize our community to violence. Melissa Henson, program director for Parents Television Council (PTC) and guest of Thursday's session, brought this and other restrictive measures unpopular with the video game lobby to the president's attention. At the time, the graphics from the games looked like total cartoons, yet they were still lambasted for their "hyper-realistic violence". The video was released by the White House on its official YouTube channel to illustrate the violence in video games.

In short, researchers haven't been able to find a direct link between violent video games and school shootings.
