Sean McDonough Won't Return to MNF; Joe Tessitore to Do Play-by-Play

ESPN's Monday Night Football

Manning has been a hot commodity in the National Football League broadcasting circuit, with ESPN looking to replace lead MNF analyst Jon Gruden, now the head coach of the Oakland Raiders.

ESPN has announced that Monday Night Football will have a completely new team "in the booth" next season. He is still undecided if he will work for Fox or not.

The New York Post's Andrew Marchand confirmed the news and reported ESPN's Joe Tessitore will take over as the program's new play-by-play announcer.

According to Sports Illustrated's Richard Deitsch, McDonough and ESPN mutually agreed that he would return to college football broadcasts after two seasons on the call.

Snapchat & Instagram remove Giphy feature over racist gif
Snapchat has temporarily removed its Giphy GIF sticker feature after a user saw an extremely racist GIF as an option. If you tag someone in a post, you will get a notification saying that someone has 'mentioned you in their Story '.

A few weeks ago we learned Jon Gruden was leaving ESPN's Monday Night Football broadcasts for the NFL sideline.

Monday Night Football has found a new voice. It turns out, ESPN will be replacing more than just their analyst. Manning could call the network's "Thursday Night Football" games and still have his weekends free. "Being the "Voice of Monday Night Football" was one of the great honors of my life, but I am grateful for the opportunity to return to the unique traditions, rivalries and pageantry of college football and to tell the stories of the participants". McDonough replaced Mike Tirico, who'd held the post since 2006, in 2016.

Here's hoping McDonough calls some SEC games in 2018.
