Dolphins To Release Ndamukong Suh As Part Of 'Culture Change'

NFL Rumors: Dolphins To Release Ndamukong Suh As Part Of 'Culture Change'

They traded running back Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles mid-season a year ago.

The purge of big-time Dolphins talent continues as the news of Suh's impending departure comes just days after the team traded No. 1 receiver Jarvis Landry to the Cleveland Browns. Suh teased some "exciting news" on Twitter on Monday morning, which would seem to indicate he knew this revelation would hit the National Football League news cycle today.

The Miami Dolphins are set to release DT Ndamukong Suh on Wednesday, three seasons into the record-breaking six-year, $114 million contract he signed to leave the Detroit Lions, NFL Media's Jeff Darlington reports Monday.

Veteran defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh tweeted Monday morning that he's in Seattle and for followers to "stay tuned. I don't care about money at this point - I think I want to play with y'all next year for free, '" Lee says. He has been a model of durability, missing only two games in his eight-year career. However, none of this has really translated to winning.

Jay-Z, Beyonce Coming To US Bank Stadium In August
Although the post was quickly deleted, fans took it as a sign to get in formation because the real thing would be coming soon. Tickets for " OTR II" will be available for purchase on starting on Monday, March 19, 2018 at 10:00 a.m.

We don't know for sure that Suh is in town to meet with the Seahawks, but obviously the timing here makes one think that could be the case. The Dolphins made the playoffs just once with Suh on their roster, and the defensive tackle posted declining sack totals of 6, 5 and 4.5.

Suh is 31-years-old and cutting him would be purely financial. Suh obviously has a ton of talent, but will need to land in the right situation for a prospective team to maximize his value.

In three years with the Dolphins, Suh had 15.5 sacks. Are the Dolphins in win-now mode or are they rebuilding for the future? The Dolphins, specifically Adam Gase is trying to change the culture in Miami and that starts with attitude.
