Russian exile who was ally of Putin critic found dead in London

Nikolai Glushkov a Russian exile and former associate of the late oligarch Boris Berezovsky has reportedly been found dead at his home in London

Boris Berezovsky was found dead in 2013 west of London, with a scarf around his neck, after fleeing to London in 2000 following a row with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.

The death of Russian national Nikolai Glushkov has been reported by his friend on Facebook; the deceased man moved to the United Kingdom in 2010 after being convicted of embezzlement and money laundering in Russia.

Nikolai Glushkov, a close associate of late Putin critic Boris Berezovsky, has been found dead in his London home. An inquest failed to determine whether he had killed himself or died from foul play.

Berzovsky's death is among as many as 14 other deaths reviewed by intelligence services and police following the recent poisoning of former Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia, who are both in hospital in critical condition.

In the 1990s, Glushkov was the deputy director of LogoVaz, a auto sales company founded by Boris Berezovsky, and "Aeroflot", Russia's flagship airline and largest passenger carrier.

The death is believed to be of Nikolai Glushkov, who was convicted of fraud and money-laundering in Russian Federation and served five years in prison before being released and fleeing to the UK.

Five years on, the same questions will be asked of his own death. In 2004, he was sentenced to three years and three months in prison. In 2011, he gave evidence at the court case brought by Berezovsky against fellow oligarch Roman Abramovich, who remained on good terms with the Kremlin.

During the trial he told the court he had been taken "hostage" by Putin's administration, which tried to force Berezovsky to sell his TV station ORT. British Home Secretary Amber Rudd said police and the domestic security service will look into 14 deaths in Britain that might be linked to Russian Federation.

'I have quite different information from what is being published in the media'.

Glushkov, a close ally of Berezovsky, was twice charged with fraud in Russian Federation. [But] I don't believe it was suicide. Too many bodies are happening.

Tillerson told reporters late Monday that Russia's actions would "certainly trigger a response".

"It is extremely worrying that chemical agents are still being used to harm people".

Russian Federation reportedly dismissed the British claims as a "circus show", a "provocation" and "nonsense".

"Mr. Skripal and his daughter were poisoned with a military-grade nerve agent of a type developed by Russia", British Prime Minister Theresa May said on Monday.
