John McEntee walks to Marine One to accompany President Trump from the White House in Washington, DC for a trip to Mar-a-Lago, Fla., Feb. 16, 2018.

McEntee was escorted out of the White House on Monday without being allowed to collect his belongings, including his jacket, The Journal reported. His work has previously appeared in the American Prospect Online, and he blogs frequently at Sadly, No!

President Donald Trump is culling the ranks again.

Axios's Jonathan Swan touched on how devastating this will be for morale inside the White House. Two sources initially said McEntee was pushed out because of issues with his security clearance, but another source familiar with the matter later said he had been granted a permanent security clearance before was abruptly fired.

McEntee was an early Trump assistant in the presidential campaign.

"He's much taller than I thought", Trump said. After Trump gave Rex Tillerson the pink slip apparently through Twitter, the president's long-time personal assistant was also let go.

Lakers leave an impression on LeBron in punishing rout over Cavaliers
Since the All-Star break, Randle is almost averging 20 points and 10 rebounds per game, which would put him in some elite company. With its sixth win in eight games overall, Los Angeles (30-36) emphatically snapped a seven-game losing streak against Cleveland.

Mr McEntee, who joined the Trump campaign in its first months, is the latest aide to be forced out because of difficulties obtaining a full security clearance. He delivered messages to the president at the White House residence, carried markers for Trump to sign autographs, and, most recently, changed clocks at the White House to adjust for daylight saving time.

A White House spokesman declined to comment on McEntee's firing.

McEntee has been one of Trump's few mainstays over his political career. Porter had been working on a temporary security clearance, as his background check revealed he had been accused of domestic abuse by two former wives.

Trump's son-in-law and adviser Jared Kushner's interim clearance was downgraded during the fallout.

In a campaign statement released this morning, McEntee joins the re-election team "as a senior advisor for campaign operations".
