United Kingdom to build new £48m chemical weapons defence centre

Theresa May Chairs Metting Of The National Security Council

The move, revealed in The Times last month, would provide "them with vital protection", Gavin Williamson says. We have responded to that.

During his first keynote speech since becoming Defense Secretary a year ago, Williamson has outlined the threats faced by the United Kingdom, modernization of the Defense Program, further investments in the armed forces, and the British response to the poisoning of the former Russian spy Sergei Skripal. It is absolutely atrocious and outrages what Russian Federation did in Salisbury.

Britain must "step forward" to respond to growing threat, British Defense Secretary Gavin Williamson will say.

Despite his trademark colourful language, he said the United Kingdom should not "rush" into any drastic measures against Vladimir Putin's government.

Earlier in the week, UK Prime Minister Theresa May said it was highly likely that Russian Federation was behind the Skripal case and demanded a response from Moscow.

Russia's foreign ministry, which denies any responsibility for the poisoning, said Mr Williamson's remarks showed London had something to hide. We have responded to that. Frankly, Russia should go away, and it should shut up.

United States radio giant iHeartMedia files for bankruptcy
There are eight iHeart stations in Los Angeles, for example, and six in NY , including Z100, a pop powerhouse. In a statement , the company said it was hoping to maintain business as usual during the bankruptcy.

Williamson assumed the post of the Defense Sec in November 2017 and his nomination by the UK PM Theresa May came something as a surprise, since Williamson has no military background.

Mr Williamson said during a visit to Bristol: "We will look at how Russian Federation responds to what we have done".

'That is what they are wanting to see: Britain standing together against this great threat'.

"Today I can announce that we're building on our world-class expertise of the defense science and technology laboratory at Porton Down".

But Russia says it does not possess the Novichok nerve agent having scrapped all chemical weapons programs of the defunct Soviet Union in 1992.
