"She had a leg injury, a gunshot wound, so I put a tourniquet on her to try to help her", the witness told Sky News.

"She told us that the shooter was a woman who was wearing a mask and holding two pistols", McCarthy said.

YouTube employee Vadim Lavrusik posted on Twitter that he heard gunshots and saw people running. "And I just said, 'Shooter, ' and everybody started running", Arnspiger said.

AJPlus executive producer Ethar El-Katatney shared screenshots of what she says is from a WhatsApp group message with someone who works at YouTube, who reported that they were "in a courtyard at work eating and some guy with a gun and full body armor starting firing". Prior to the shooting at YouTube headquarters, YouTube announced recently that they would clamp down on videos that involve guns, with YouTube's policy announcement getting backlash in the wake of the high school shooting on February 14. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives said it also responded. He wrote, "Our thoughts and prayers are with everybody involved". Several minutes later, they found the female shooter.

Officials in San Bruno, California said on Tuesday afternoon that three people were wounded, and a suspect died of a possible self-inflicted wound, during a shooting at YouTube's corporate offices. The other woman is 27 years old and is in fair condition. Spokesman Brent Andrew says one of the patients, a 36-year-old man, is in critical condition. Police have not confirmed those details.

Employees are exiting the building with their hands up and are being frisked by police. Officers then patted down people grouped outside.

Security at the Google office in Mountain View, California, 30 minutes south of YouTube's headquarters, is typically strict.

He was seen in another directly addressing members of Red Velvet, which commands more than 4.6 million followers on Instagram. In a second concert by the K-pop stars on Tuesday, they will be joined on stage by several North Korean performers.

Hospital spokeswoman Lisa Kim did not have information on their conditions or their wounds. "Peeked around for threats and then we headed downstairs and out the front", a verified Twitter user who claims to be a YouTube product manager posted.

The San Bruno Police Department told people on Facebook to stay away from the area Tuesday.

Google, which owns YouTube, responded to the situation on Twitter, saying that they're working with authorities.

After receiving multiple 911 calls reporting gunfire, officers and federal agents swarmed the company's suburban campus sandwiched between two interstates in the San Francisco Bay Area city of San Bruno.

Democratic Senator for California Dianne Feinstein said she was praying for the safety of everyone at YouTube's headquarters and that her "stomach sinks with yet another active shooter alert".

TV helicopter video shows officers searching people grouped outside a building and police vehicles surrounding the area.

Police in the city of San Bruno said there was an active shooter but did not immediately provide more information.
