Last Parkland shooting victim released from hospital

An estimated 650 riders drove 43 miles through South Florida to Coral Springs Florida. Pollack was among them riding on his motorcycle

"I thought I was going to die".

On the day of the shooting, 15-year-old Anthony Borges barricaded a door with his body and was shot five times through the door.

A U.S. teenager who used his body to block a door and save his classmates during the Florida school shooting in February has finally left hospital, USA media report.

His parents, too, feel fortunate that their son survived.

The family's lawyer, Alex Arreaza, told the news outlet that they plan on suing Broward County, Broward County Public Schools and the sheriff's office, for their "failure to protect students". The family is set to hold a news conference soon to announce their lawsuit against the school for negligence.

A third of Borges' lung had to be removed.

Arreaza told The Washington Post that one bullet had "clipped" the teen's liver and three others had hit his legs.

4 people killed in shooting at Turkish university
Dogan said that the attack sparked panic at the university, with both students and teachers in a state of shock. Turkish media say the attacker is a research fellow at the city's Osmangazi University and has been detained.

"He's a hero in my book", his attorney said. "He's the real deal".

The family has had to move from their walk-up an apartment to a ground-floor unit to accommodate Borges as he recovers. He was a Boy Scout and is a skilled soccer player, hes family said.

And Borges has kept a positive outlook.

"I feel good", the teenager said as he rested his head on a pillow at home.

A flag flies at half-staff and crime scene tape surrounds Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Fla., on February 18 - four days after a gunman killed 17 people and wounded more than a dozen others in a shooting attack.

Like Borges' parents, his close friend Carlitos Rodriguez, who was on lockdown that day, believes the massacre could have been prevented.

"Following the tragic events that took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on February 14, the Broadway community will unite with numerous inspiring and world-changing MSD students", the concert's official website states about the benefit.
