Pep Guardiola and Liverpool charged by UEFA

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola's current torrid time as Manchester City manager took a further turn for the worse Wednesday with news that Uefa has opened disciplinary proceedings into his "improper conduct".

Details of the "improper conduct" were not specified, though television pictures showed Guardiola appearing to send communications to his coaching staff from his second-half seat high in the main stand.

Liverpool's Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain rounds Manchester City's Ederson during the Champions League quarter final second leg at Etihad Stadium, Manchester, on April 10.

Speaking to BT Sport after the match, the City manager spoke witheringly of Mateu Lahoz's officiating. Guardiola took exception to an erroneous offside call, which took a goal away from City's Leroy Sane.

Pakistan Summons US Envoy Over Traffic Death
Pakistani police briefly detained the diplomat who was driving the embassy vehicle , but did not arrest him as he enjoys diplomatic immunity.

"I know that Mo feels very comfortable here, and he knows that our style of play suits him very well, so I am not anxious about a transfer", Klopp said in an interview with German newspaper Bild. I didn't insult him, I was polite, I was correct.

"I know what happened in Monaco last season, at 1-1, with an incredible penalty [not given to] Sergio Aguero". He said, "Oh the pass came from Milner?" But Mateu Lahoz is a special guy, he likes to be different, he likes to be special. He's special. When everybody sees things, he likes to decide the opposite. So, he's a referee, what he likes to feel different, so it's special.

However, Reds boss Klopp sees no reason for the player to go anywhere else at this stage of his career.
