Cosby paid accuser $3.38m

Cosby smiles during victimology testimony

Bill Cosby arrives to Montgomery County Courthouse for the fifth day of his retrial for sexual assault charges, April 13, 2018, in Norristown, Penn.

Her harrowing account of the events in 2004 was consistent with the one she gave at last year's trial in suburban Philadelphia, and jurors watched intently and scribbled notes as she told how Cosby, the good-guy celebrity she viewed as a mentor and friend, had betrayed her.

The pioneering black entertainer's first trial ended in a hung jury in June a year ago, with a sequestered panel hopelessly deadlocked after six days of testimony and 52 hours of deliberations.

Farrell has represented several women who say they were sexually assaulted by Cosby after being referred to him by the agency.

Tom Mesereau said in his opening statement Tuesday that the financially troubled Constand "hit the jackpot" when Cosby paid her in 2006.

Constand's possible financial motives played a role in Cosby's original trial, which ended with a hung jury last June. The Times says that defense attorneys are expected to argue that "the large amount of the payment is not an admission of wrongdoing on his part, but rather evidence of Ms. Constand's financial incentive in pursuing charges against him".

Constand is one of dozens of women who have accused the iconic comedian of drugging and then assaulting them, but she is the only one whose allegation became the focus of a criminal charge.

Constand said she awoke between 4 and 5 a.m.to find her bra up around her neck and her trousers half unzipped.

Model Janice Dickinson is the next Cosby accuser to take the stand.

"Were you able to tell him, 'Stop, '" prosecutor Kristen Feden asked. It wasn't until she began feeling groggy that she knew something was wrong.

A year after the first trial, a confident Constand walked into the courtroom and faced questions from both the prosecution and defense through the morning.

"It really disappointed me and made me feel sad and I felt angry", Rochelle said.

Russian Federation called the council meeting to challenge the West over the legality of the military action. American President Donald Trump has approved military action in Syria.

"Put them down", Cosby replied, she said, allegedly gesturing for her to swallow them with water. "He said, 'I'm sorry to you, Andrea, and I'm sorry to you, Mom'". She went to a group dinner at a Chinese restaurant and said she wanted a word with him.

Thomas, who was 24 at the time, said she had never been drunk.

At one point, Constand said, Cosby touched her on the thigh and another time tried to unzip her trousers while sitting next to her.

Cosby said he would foot the bill for her travel, Dickinson testified, but first wanted to do it cheaply - drawing a laugh from the courtroom crowd. She said she was flown to Reno and driven to a home, where she found Cosby alone.

O'Neill had blocked Jackson from testifying at the first trial.

Turning to Cosby, she made the remark that suggested he remembered the encounter. Cosby, 80, faces three counts of aggravated indecent assault, each punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

Femen leader, Inna Shevchenko, said that Rochelle was defending the alleged victims and called her protest the group's "contribution to the global revolt launched by #MeToo".

More than 50 women have accused Cosby of sexual assault, with many saying he drugged and raped them.

"As a mother of daughters", she said, "and as one who is now a statistic, it was important to me that they know if anything happened to them, they could come to me".

Up in his room, ostensibly to discuss her career, Cosby changed into a patchwork bathrobe, the 63-year-old witness testified, which opened to reveal his naked body and the scent of cigars, espresso and sweat as he climbed on top of her and allegedly raped her.

The actor offered her three blue pills to "help take the edge off" which she took believing they were a natural remedy, she said.

Jackson's testimony was rejected by the judge as hearsay in Cosby's first trial, but for the retrial she has been admitted as a defense witness. She has said Constand once commented to her about setting up a "high-profile person" and filing suit.
