Hunter burned, 100s of properties evacuated in Oklahoma Wildfires

Thousands of acres burned Thursday in wildfires across Oklahoma

Some 450 people were evacuated in adjacent Woodward County. Forestry services firefighters have been positioned in Woodward and Weatherford for potential deployment to any fires in the region.

Woodward County Emergency Administration Director Matt Lehenbaur talked about Friday that the fireside has destroyed numerous properties near Woodward, about 125 miles (200 kilometers) northeast of Oklahoma Metropolis.

It's just one of a series of wildfires in the state. Two fires in that area have burned 1,000 acres (405 hectares).

A 54-year-old hunter reported missing in the large Dewey County fire was found alive, Oklahoma Forestry Services Fire Chief Scott Huff said.

"I'm asking all Oklahomans to be vigilant and careful, and to do their part to prevent fires", Fallin said in a statement.

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group Inc. bought a new position in Starbucks during the third quarter valued at approximately $111,000. First Heartland Consultants Inc sold 12,957 shares as the company's stock rose 0.28% while stock markets declined.

Meanwhile, the National Weather Service issued a special statement for Friday warning of low humidity, dry conditions and possible wind gusts as high as 35 miles per hour.

Several other wildfires have been reported flaring up all around the state. "The fire is rapidly spreading and growing and we will continue to see extreme fire behavior until we can get through this event".

Fire officials said crews are focused on securing the fires' north and east sides to protect several subdivisions.

Brady said the fire was in the area of a PEPCO sub-station and power lines. In Beckham County, westbound lanes of Interstate 40 at Erick were off-limits to traffic, and State Highway 34 was closed from Vici south to Camargo. An additional fire is located southwest of Vici.
