Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Washington Capitals, 4-21

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Washington Capitals, 4-21

Ovechkin scored a goal and added a power-play assist in Thursday's 4-1 win over the Blue Jackets in Game 4.

The visiting team has won all four games. An early roughing call on Washington's Lars Eller yielded nothing, and a slash by Columbus' Thomas Vanek actually led to a shorthanded goal by Calvert 10:08 into the first period. Wilson got it at 6:16 of the first period by ripping a shot past Columbus goalie Sergei Bobrovsky from near the blue line after Washington almost scored moments before. Washington blocked 20 shots, and Columbus was not able to find as many scoring chances as it did in Games 1, 2 and 3.

The Blue Jackets are obviously frustrated that they couldn't get anything on home ice after taking the first two games in Washington, but they vent that frustration on the ice with a bounce back performance in Game 5. While Holtby was unable to prevent a Capitals loss, he was rewarded with the Game 3 start and saved 31 of 33 shots in the 3-2 double overtime victory. He had three goals and three assists for eight points in the Caps final six regular season games.

'Ending all ties with BJP': Yashwant Sinha quits party
These opinions could not be of a BJP leader and he was working at the behest of the Congress. RLD leader Tejashwi Yadav came down heavily on both central and state governments.

Holtby - looking much more like the former Vezina Trophy victor than the goalie who stumbled through February and March - stopped 23 of 24 shots and evened his career playoff record at 31-31. Columbus has gone 21-22 on the road and they have averaged 3.07 gpg and have allowed 3.16 gpg in those games. Blue Jackets C Alexander Wennberg returned after missing Games 2, 3 and 4 following a hit to the head from Tom Wilson. Bobrovsky is playing well but Holtby is just not facing the same amount of scoring chances that Bob does in a game. I will look for the offenses to continue to play well at this venue.

It's the Capitals momentum vs. the Blue Jackets frustration. The Caps do allow just 2.60 gpg, but I still see the Blue Jackets put up some goals in this one, while they will give up some as they have allowed 3.16 gpg on the road. The Capitals made no changes after winning back-to-back games in Columbus, keeping Chandler Stephenson on the second line in the absence of Andre Burakovsky, who's out for at least the remainder of the series with an upper-body injury.

"They're a good forechecking team so obviously you've got to be good on their breakouts and get back, and help out in the (defensive) zone first", Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom told the team's website.
