They will not (or should not) appear on personal News Feeds or "interactions with friends".

Several Facebook users in Australia and New Zealand tweeted their surprise at seeing the up and down arrows appearing next to certain comments. And as per TNW, the majority of user who got access to this feature are based out of Australia and New Zealand.

Reportedly they are not testing a dislike button.

The feature was first tested in February on five per cent of Android users in the US.

'We are exploring a feature for people to give us feedback about comments on public page posts'. And now it seems that the social media giant is finally rolling out this feature to a wider audience across the globe.

There has been no comment as of now. Machine learning, clubbed with other signals such as user reports, would help in the prioritization of articles in the fact checking queue.

So while Facebook may be optimistic in regards to how this new feature will work, it will be interesting to see how plays out in practice.

Users React To Facebook's Downvote Button!

So Facebook has a dislike button now - only it's shaped like an arrow.

Facebook has announced the addition of a "Sleep Mode" feature on Messenger Kids, giving parents more control over the times ... Time will tell I guess.

In 2016, Facebook rolled out new reactions to supplement its "like button".

This is indeed a controversial question, as the answer is mixed. In an earlier statement, the company's CEO Mark Zuckerberg said that the move is aimed at allowing users express empathetic feeling on posts where a "like" is not the right response. According to the social networking website, the Facebook downvote button should curb the comments that might hurt the feelings of someone or disrespect someone.

Your Facebook experience is getting a "Dislike" button, though it's not really an actual button.

Message board Reddit has long offered users a downvote button, meant to serve a similar role as a winnower of irrelevant or unhelpful content, but users frequently complain that the tool is more often used to express disagreement and silence dissenting opinions. They wont let millions of users leave their service without a fight!
