In Cleveland, Trump touts GOP tax law ahead of midterms

President Trump spoke for almost eight minutes on topics like unemployment and immigration before he brought up the sweeping tax cuts passed last December.

Trump won OH by a wide margin in the 2016 presidential election, leading many OH conservatives to model themselves after him.

"Remember, you have to win the great state of Ohio".

"Even if we have to think about closing up the country for a while, we're going to get the wall", he said. The White House has not commented.

In Tuesday's primary, Mr. Renacci faces competition for Trump voters who might again be drawn to someone who presents himself as an insurgent. And we're going to get tremendous security in our country.

"The poll numbers are pretty good", Trump said.

"If you don't have borders, you don't have a country", he said.

Moses fired up for Huddersfield clash after 'big win' over Liverpool
Did I think it would happen? Chelsea and Tottenham have two games to play, while Brighton are Liverpool's only remaining opponents.

Trump also told supporters at a speech in MI last weekend that if Congress did not meet his funding demands for border security, he may support a government shutdown this winter.

Young father Chris Jaramillo said he and his wife were able to start a college savings account for their 1-year-old son with the $500 he received from a bonus from his company, and place him in a better daycare with the $125 more he is seeing in his paychecks because of the tax law.

At the official taxpayer-funded event, Trump also criticized Brown, saying he shares Democrats' "deep-seated" support for what he claims are looser immigration policies.

The victor of Tuesday's five-way primary will oppose second-term Democratic U.S. Sen.

Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike Gibbons on Friday filed a lawsuit in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court that alleges his primary rival, Wadsworth GOP Rep. Jim Renacci, lied about him in radio and print media.

His visit comes as Republicans across the nation are facing an increasingly challenging midterm election environment. A March 2018 Gallup poll found the bill had been gaining in popularity, but still had higher disapproval - 48 percent - than approval, at 39 percent.
