Thunderstorms squall and heavy rains likely in 13 states 2 UTs on Monday IMD

Another dust storm seems to be building up and is likely to hit Rajasthan, especially the western part of the state. Meanwhile, heavy rain is expected in isolated areas of 6 northeast states, namely, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura on Monday, as per the India Meteorological Department (IMD).

Also the Meteorological department has warned about the approach of heavy rains within the next three hours in eight southern districts and fishermen are cautioned against venturing into the sea.

Till date, as many as 124 people lost their lives due to high-intensity dust storms in Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan earlier this week with the highest casualties in UP, where about 73 persons were killed. As such schools of Haryana will remain closed for 2 days. The state witnessed similar weather conditions last week, leading to the death of over 120 people. Due to this alert, the Haryana government has chose to close all schools on Monday and Tuesday. Almost 75 people were murdered in Uttar Pradesh by yourself.
