Expect rain, rain and even more rain this Mother's Day weekend

West wind 7 to 14 miles per hour.

This evening will feature another round of showers and storms. Temperatures will be warm, falling only into the upper 60s to low 70s.

Heavy rain in the north and severe winds in the south are forecast to arrive on Saturday, settling in to dampen Mother's Day celebrations on Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms seem like a decent bet again later in the afternoon into the evening as instability builds, and a few could be strong to severe. Highs will be in the lower to mid-80s and overnight lows should be in the lower 60s.

TONIGHT... Cloudy with a 50 percent chance of showers. Right now our best opportunities for moisture move in on Tuesday and Wednesday. Scattered showers are still possible, especially late in the day, but where they end up falling is still up for debate. You did run into more clouds and even a few isolated showers as you headed into central and western Pennsylvania, but those mainly stayed west of the Appalachians.

F1: Hamilton on pole as Mercedes lock out Spanish GP front row
Kubica, who had a spin toward the end of the session, finished with the second-to-last time - in front of teammate Lance Stroll. If you win here, you have a good cushion for the next couple of races so for me it's important both Mercedes are there.

Friday: Partly to mostly sunny.

Following Saturday night, Sunday morning will continue with the wet weather, as a wave of low pressure rides along the southward sagging front.

TODAY: Clouds and sun, warm and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will rebound back into the middle and upper 70s.

Thu: High: 85 Low: 64 Mostly cloudy to partly cloudy. The stationary front will remain over Kansas on Mother's Day and most of next week.
