Arfield becomes Gerrard's first Rangers signing

Gerrard said: "I am delighted to have added Scott Arfield to the squad for next season".

Rangers' season is over, but they have wasted no time in making plans for the 2018/19 campaign by signing Canada worldwide Scott Arfield from Burnley.

However it seems that Dave King could have a bit more money to play around with than first though as the Gers have been claimed to have tabled yet another seven-figure bid, this time for Fenerbahce defender Martin Skrtel.

The 29-year-old, who made 194 appearances for Burnley since joining on a free transfer from Huddersfield Town in 2013, has been given a four-year contract at Rangers. "When a club of this magnitude comes in for you it is a no brainer".

"As soon as the interest came in it was something I wanted to go for", said the midfielder.

The Turkish President made a loud statement about Israel
Erdogan said there would be three days of mourning for those killed in Gaza and planned a large rally in Istanbul for Friday. I urge Christians, Jews and believers of other religions who have common sense to raise their voices against this injustice.

"Steven Gerrard will definitely attract top players but I think Rangers already had that appeal because they are a top club".

"We begin today with the announcement [of signing Scott Arfield] and we will see what manifests itself over the coming months". "With Gary McAllister as well, it's exciting and I'm so happy to be part of it". If you don't get excited by it you shouldn't walk through the front door.

"The stature of him suits a club of this stature".

"I was lucky enough to play against him (Gerrard) and it was one of the highlights of my career".

Despite playing for Canada, Arfield was born in Dechmont in Scotland and played for Scotland at youth level before switching his allegiance to the country of his father's birth. "It was the ideal time to leave".
