30-year-old man finally moves out of his parents' home

Man, 30, ordered evicted from parents’ home by New York judge feels ‘great’ to be leaving

Michael Rotondo, the 30-year-old man who became worldwide news after his parents took him to court to force him to move out of home, has finally left the nest... but not before calling the cops on his dad over a fight about some Lego.

The millennial's parents, Mark and Christina Rotondo, filed a petition in the Supreme Court of New York State claiming they've had enough of their son living under their roof.

He said his parents had said goodbye, "more or less", and got his rumbling station wagon running after some false starts, according to the Post-Standard of Syracuse.

According to the court's order, Rotondo must be out of his parents' home by noon on Friday.

Roseanne Barr says she 'begged' ABC to save her show
But ABC said it was cancelling the show, condemning her "abhorrent, repugnant" tweet , which was "inconsistent with our values". In a second tweet apologizing to Jarrett, Barr wrote that her "whole life has been about fighting racism".

Michael Rotondo caught the world's attention last week with his refusal to move out of his parents' home despite them suing him to get him to leave.

News crews recorded him packing up a pickup truck this week. "I can't have my phone getting jammed up with nonsense like that", Rotondo said as police responded to his complaint. They offered him $1,100 "so you can find a place to stay" and nudged him to get a job.

"There are jobs available even for those with a poor work history like you". Rotondo refused the judge's request to work things out directly with his parents, who sat quietly nearby. His father found and retrieved the toy building blocks, handing them over at some point after officers arrived, and that whole episode certainly sounds like a productive and necessary use of police time. He failed to persuade the judge to grant him another six months with his parents. His move was partially bankrolled by far-right media personality and conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, who Rotondo says gave him a cheque for US$3000 after he appeared on Jones' show. The toys, Rotondo said, were for his son, whom he lost custody of past year.

On Friday, Rotondo stood outside the place he once called home but had some trouble before then.
