Melania Trump not attending G7 summit in Charlevoix later this week

The Oval Office confab with Kim Yong Chol stretched out'Because we found the whole subject matter very interesting. And because I really think they want to do something

First Lady Melania Trump's last public appearance was on May 10th, shortly after the announcement of her "Be Best" initiative and four days before she was hospitalized for what was purportedly a minor kidney surgery.

Melania spent almost a week in hospital in May for what her office called a benign kidney problem but has not been seen publicly since May 10 and stayed home while the president travelled to Camp David over the weekend. She was, according a tweet Trump sent last week, at the White House, "feeling great". In one snap, Mrs Trump was visible next to her husband, but the social media site still lit up with what became a new theory. But, in a twist worthy of Poe or Coleridge, when said reporters turned to the window to look for Melania Trump, she was nowhere to be found.

On Wednesday, Melania confronted the media speculating about her whereabouts tweeting, "I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing".

"BUT BUT: The event is closed to the press, so Monday evening may not resolve the mystery", Stelter tweeted.

However, Grisham confirmed to CNN that Melania would attend the reception for Gold Star families, honoring their family members who died in battle.

Trump energy plan would prop up failing coal and nuclear plants
Although the memo describes a planned Energy Department directive, there was no indication President Donald Trump had signed off on the action nor when any order might be issued.

The first lady stayed behind Friday when President Donald Trump, his daughters, eldest son and son-in-law went to the Camp David retreat for the weekend.

"To all those who have lost loved ones in service to our country, our nation grieves with you", her statement read. "I can't imagine a previous first lady disappearing for 24 days without some level of concern".

Now, Trump and his lawyers are arguing that the president can't, by definition, obstruct justice, and if he could, he can't be charged with any crime, and even if he were, he has absolute power to pardon himself - "essentially, that the president is above the law", Noah said.

On Monday, during a meeting with the families of fallen soldiers, President Donald Trump quipped about speculation that the first lady had left him.

"Good to see her doing so well" added Greene.

Stephanie Grisham, the first lady's communications director, told the Times on Monday that it was "pretty typical" for people to avoid travel after undergoing medical procedures.
