The movie was directed by Ron Howard after original directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord were fired during production.

Solo: A Star Wars Story continued to drop off at the box office during its second weekend in theaters, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The new Star Wars spinoff movie, Solo, is looking like a commercial disappointment, at least in some regards. Creutz also projected a final domestic gross of approximately $200 million for Solo, which would be the lowest-grossing entry in the Star Wars franchise.

There are a number of factors that may have contributed to Solo's second disappointing weekend.

Whether any of this would've made the film better than what we ultimately got, we'll never know, but it's always fun to take a look at what could've been and after checking out the gallery up above, be sure to share your thoughts on Solo: A Star Wars Story with us in the comments section.

The second weekend of "Solo: A Star Wars Story", which tells the story of the rebellious pilot's youth, made an estimated $29.3 million in North America, according to the studio.

North Korea replaces top three military officials
Yonhap reported that Kim Yong Chol had transited Beijing on Monday on his way back to Pyongyang from the United States. Ri Myong-su, 84, chief of the general staff of the Korean People's Army, has been replaced by Ri Yong-gil, his deputy.

While a lot of fans didn't like Star Wars: The Last Jedi, it's argued the same applied to the George Lucas prequels, but that didn't stop Star Wars fans from continuing to see the films. Overseas, Solo brought in $30 million, bringing it's global total to $115 million. Not only that, but Creutz remarked that Lucasfilm failed to sell the audience on Alden Ehrenreich as Han Solo, with the full marketing machine for Solo not kicking in until about a month before release, which was too late.

"Upgrade" opened In sixth place with $4.5 million, behind both "Avengers: Infinity War" ($10.4 million) and "Book Club" ($6.8 million), and "Action Point", which was not screened for critics, landed in ninth place with a dismal $2.3 million. By comparison, the last two "Star Wars" releases raked in more than $1 billion each.

Internationally, the Marvel and Disney film brought in another $24.3 million this weekend.

He argues "Solo's biggest problem was an uncharacteristically (for Disney) poor marketing campaign" and "we think the movie's biggest problem was its marketing".

"This dip in box office slows the momentum for the industry, but the good news is that a host of big titles are on the way to help erase the memory of this gloomy June box office frame", said Paul Dergarabedian, a senior analyst at comScore.
