Three men shot at boxing club in Ireland

A technical examination of the area is being carried out by crime scene examiners. A 50-year-old man, who also was not identified, died from gunshot wounds suffered in the attack.

One man is dead and two have been left seriously injured after a shooting at Bray Boxing Club, Ireland.

The boxing club was established by Peter Taylor, the father of Ireland's world and Olympic champion boxer Katie Taylor, and is located at the harbour in Bray town.

The gym is owned by Bray municipal council and operated by Mr Taylor.

It happened at Bray Boxing Club shortly before 7 o'clock this morning.

"Following examination of CCTV in the area, we now wish to appeal for information for a silver coloured Volkswagen Caddy with Northern Irish plates".

According to thejournal.ie, Taylor sustained injuries to his arm and chest and remains in a serious condition in St. Vincent's hospital.

Pete Taylor trained his daughter throughout her hugely successful amateur career, which included winning the women's lightweight gold medal at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

The scene is now closed off as gardai continue to investigate.

Local Sinn Fein TD John Brady tweeted: 'Absolutely shocking news coming from Bray Boxing club this morning.

"Another dark day for Bray". "I have no doubt that the Gardai are doing all they can to apprehend those responsible".

The shooting took place just before a bootcamp class was scheduled to take place at 7am.
