Here's how Apple plans on making iOS 12 less all-consuming

Apple iOS 12

Together with the introduction of iOS 12 and watchOS 5, Apple has introduced the macOS Mojave desktop operating system, and tvOS 12, a new operating system for Apple TV 4K, with support for immersive Dolby Atmos audio and zero-sign on. There is also a new Dynamic Desktop that will automatically switch the desktop picture to match the time of day.

Stacks is all about eliminating clutter. Rather than have files and folders scattered all across the desktop, you can now toggle the settings in MacOS to automatically group similar files together into Stacks. Finder now has a gallery view that allows for a better look at images, documents, and videos. Users also have the option to build their own quick actions, such as adding a watermark to a photo, and add it to Finder. You can follow your favorite publications from one app, control your HomeKit-enabled accessories via Home, and record Voice Memos for personal notes, interviews, meetings, and more, then access applicable files from your iOS devices. MacRumors discovered the change in section 3.1.1 of the App Store Review Guidelines, which adds a section stating that non-subscription apps may now offer an explicit free time-based trial period as a zero-dollar in-app purchase. The feature, which will make it easy to port apps with minimal changes to code, will be made available to developers next year.

As for developers who are part of the Apple Developer Program, a preview is available beginning 6 June while a public beta program will be available to Mac users in late June. Onstage, Apple's VP of software Craig Federighi described Safari's new anti-tracking features in unusually confrontational terms.

Microsoft will be bringing Office 365 to the Mac App Store, while Adobe will be bringing Lightroom CC to the store as well. After the Facebook-Cambridge Analytica data breach, Apple has introduced a feature to Safari which they call Intelligent Tracking Prevention, which helps block social media "Like" or "Share" buttons and comment widgets from tracking users without their permission.

Lava from Kilauea volcano destroys Hawai'i County mayor's home
This combines a toxic steam, known as laze - combining the words lava and haze - and contains tiny particles of volcanic gas. This doesn't mean all homes were affected, but authorities will have to count and match the areas with property maps.

There were a lot of rumours about a Dark Mode which Apple confirmed instantly after announcing Mojave.

Some key iOS apps - News, Home and more - are coming to macOS through a redesigned app store.

Mojave will also make sure to let you know when your microphone or camera is being accessed, Federighi said, and this protection will extend to most of the data on your computer. Having said that Google has stopped providing updates to its Nexus devices and have already announced the end-of-life of its first-gen Pixel phones which were launched two years back while Apple is still upgrading its five-year old iPhone 5S.
