Hilarious Tweets About IHOP Changing Their Name to IHOB

IHOp teased its name change for days, now we know what IHOb stands for.

For a week, the restaurant chain IHOP has been hinting at a name change.

If you guessed that the "b" stood for burgers, you would have been correct. Tweeted Wendy's: "Not really afraid of the burgers from a place that decided pancakes were too hard". The website is still ihop.com, while ihob.com displays a placeholder logo. "We're always going to be IHOP", he said moments after saying they weren't IHOP.

A banner on the restaurant chain's Twitter page shows the word "Burgers!" with a photo of seven hamburgers underneath.

It's hard to imagine the new name could be permanent, as the almost 60-year-old restaurant chain is best known for its pancakes and breakfast menu items.

Trade war: European Union to put tariffs on U.S. after Trump’s ‘depressing’ tweets
German Minister of Foreign Affairs Heiko Maas also condemned Trump's move, according to Deutsche Well , a German news publication. G7 includes the seven leading industrialized countries of Britain, the United States , France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Canada.

Before fans do something drastic - like head to Denny's or drive to their local Waffle House - they can actually try the new line of hamburgers.

Rebelez also said that the menu shake-up and temporary new name was a "high-risk maneuver".

The company is part of Dine Brands Global, the same company that owns the Applebee's chain. IHOP's same-restaurant sales - or sales at locations open at least a year - declined 1.9 percent in its most recent fiscal year.

But now iHOb will serve black angus beef burgers.
