Janhvi Kapoor gets emotional about mom Sridevi at 'Dhadak' trailer launch

Speaking at the launch of its trailer on Monday the debutant said that her role in the film is what she had wished for when she saw Marathi blockbuster Sairat

The trailer of Dhadak starring Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter is finally here and we must say, the two look so damn adorable together.

"Dhadak" is releasing on July 20. In conversation with her films" filmmaker, Karan Johar, Janhvi revealed, "She was very technical about it.

Actor Arjun Kapoor has penned down a heartfelt message for step-sister Janhvi Kapoor ahead of the launch of her debut film Dhadak's trailer went viral.

The 21-year-old was accompanied by her father, producer Boney Kapoor, who has been her constant support after the sudden demise of Sridevi earlier this year in Dubai. However, one can not forget the fact Dhadak is an official remake of Marathi film Sairat, the classic that revolved around a heart-wrenching inter-caste love story! Janhvi, Khushi and Boney Kapoor had collected her award.

Speaking about the concept, director saab added, "I am a Marwari so it was easier for me to adapt". The focus in the trailer is firmly on the young leads, played by Ishan Khatter (Beyond the Clouds) and debutant actress Jhanvi Kapoor. Replying to Arjun, Janhvi commented, "I will make you proud".
