AZ Groups Condemn Separation of Children, Parents at Border

The government said on Friday that 1,995 children were separated from 1,940 adults at the U.S. -Mexico border between April 19 and May 31, as the Trump administration implements stricter border enforcement policies.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced a crackdown on immigration with the zero-tolerance policy in April, requiring the criminal prosecution of any immigrant crossing the border illegally, including parents seeking asylum with their children.

"The full impact of policy initiatives are not fully realized for 2-3 weeks following public messaging - however, some migrants already underway may temporarily halt to determine the effects of the new policy", the document states.

Crossing the border between official ports of entry is and has always been illegal, according to U.S. Code § 1325.

Reuters reported that around 13 percent of family separations in the 17-month period through February were because of alleged fraud. As Congress pursues legislation to address this issue this week, an interim solution is needed. Behind the scenes, Trump's counterparts were dismayed by verbal jabs on topics ranging from trade to terrorism and migration, The Wall Street Journal said, quoting European officials who were present.

Oliver was also quick to point out that the verse doesn't defend the separation of children from their parents because because the separation of children from their parents isn't a law, rather a scare tactic meant to be a deterrent.

Trump orders US military to form ‘Space Force’
But some, including two Republican members of the House Armed Services Strategic Forces Subcommittee, backed the initiative. Saying that he does not want " China and other countries leading us", Trump said space was a national security issue.

The release of these figures illustrates how many immigrant children have been affected by the "zero tolerance" policy at the border.

As horrific stories of families ripped apart flood the airwaves, late-night comedian John Oliver fact-check President Donald Trump's decision to blame the Democrats for his own policies.

"We as a nation need to pay attention to this and we need some answers and some action as to what this crisis is making these children live through", Falcon said. Moderate Republicans have been trying to negotiate a plan that would reduce family separations and also open a door to citizenship for young immigrants brought to the USA as children and who stayed illegally.

That falsely leaves the impression that only children travelling with gang members or other violent criminals will be separated.

Part of that approach has been separating children from their parents who are detained. We need border security. "We keep them with a fox".

Attorney General Jeff Sessions addressed the concern from some church leaders in a speech on Thursday, citing a biblical passage that talked about following the law. "And reuniting them with their families would reaffirm America's belief in & support for all parents who love their children", Clinton tweeted.
