Rapper XXXTentacion shot, critically injured

XXXTentacion - born Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy on January 23, 1998 - was an American rapper, singer, and songwriter, who was shot and killed in Deerfield Beach, Florida, on Monday, June 18.

The Piper High School drop-out had been shopping for motorcycles when a 'gunman driving a black Dodge Journey ran up to his vehicle and shot him'. TMZ has since reported that The Broward Co. However, his condition is now unknown at this point.

Marcine Joseph of WPLG Local 10 reports the rapper was shot in Deerfield beach, not Miami.

"The BSO Public Information Office is now working a developing incident regarding a shooting", the Broward Sheriff's Department told Us Weekly in a statement about the Deerfield Beach incident. Dispatchers received a call of a shooting at 3:57 p.m.
