Warner to make CPL debut after signing with St Lucia Stars

Candice Warner blamed herself for the part David Warner played in the scandal

Now he will participate in the CPL for the first time after replacing fellow Australian D'Arcy Short, who has been called up for Australia A's tour of India, in the Stars line-up.

The opener was given a nine-month suspension from worldwide and state cricket in March after admitting attempting to alter the condition of the ball during the Newlands Test against South Africa.

David Warner, during his press conference regarding the ball-tampering saga, will play in the Caribbean Premier League during his ban.

Warner will also compete alongside Cameron Bancroft, the other member of the ball-tampering trio, in a limited-overs competition in the Northern Territory in July.

Warner struck 109 against South Africa in a one-day global in Saint Kitts the last time he played in the Caribbean two years ago.

German MP predicts Merkel could be ousted end of next week
Seehofer entered Merkel's government as interior minister, promising a " master plan " to tackle migration. But pointedly, Kurz announced the plan with Seehofer, not Merkel, standing by his side.

"We are excited to bring David to the Saint Lucia Stars", said Stars general manager Mohammad Khan.

Banned Australian cricket David Warner will play in this year's Caribbean Premier League.

While Warner is banned from playing worldwide cricket for a year, he will be playing a lot of competitive cricket as he joined the Winnipeg Hawks for the inaugural edition of the Global T20 Canada, which starts on June 28.

St Lucia Stars begin their CPL campaign against Trinbago Knight Riders on August 8.

Apart from worldwide cricket Warner and Smith were also removed from the Indian Premier League where they were appointed as captains of Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals respectively.
