Maddow Breaks Down During Migrant Story

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow broke down in tears while reporting news that the Trump administration has been operating'tender'age shelters for immigrant babies and toddlers

Her voice catching, Maddow covered her mouth.

She tried to continue but was, understandably, unable. ".to at least three".

She then quoted the script she had meant to recite on the air.

"Put up the graphic of this", she asked, pointing to the camera, her lips quivering. "Thank you. Do we have it?" "Lawyers and medical providers". "Sorry. That's [it] for tonight", seguining into Lawrence O'Donnell's program.

After the show, she tweeted an apology for breaking down.

"Ugh, I'm sorry", she wrote.

MSNBC political commentator Rachel Maddow, who hosts "The Rachel Maddow Show", had barely read a few words of The Associated Press' story when she began crying.

"The Trump administration has been sending babies and other young children to at least three tender-age shelters in South Texas", Maddow is heard to say.

Trump Targets $200 Billion In Chinese Imports As Spat Grows
Trump directed the US Trade Representative to prepare the new tariffs on Monday, pushing the two nations closer to a trade war. That would encompass roughly 90 percent of the $505 billion worth of goods that China exported to the United States in 2017.

Alicia Lieberman, who runs the Early Trauma Treatment Network at University of California, San Francisco, said the separations are likely to cause permanent psychological damage for the children. Customs and Border Protection has at times defined it as 5 and under.

Ms. Maddow later took to Twitter to apologize.

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow went off the rails on Tuesday night when it came time for her to read a new report of "tender age" children being detained away form their families at the United States border.

Rachel Maddow breaks down while trying to deliver a story about children being separated from their parents at the border.

According to the Wall Street Journal, "In the controversy over immigrant families, Mr. Trump said: 'We have to take care of separation, ' according to a lawmaker in the room".

- Shaun King (@ShaunKing) June 20, 2018 Many viewers, activists, journalists and celebrities have shared clips of Maddow's segment on social media to further prove that the border control crisis should be objectively horrifying - particularly since many perceive the host as ordinarily being stoic.

"Oh, hold on", she said midway through her sentence.
