NBA Draft: 5 best fits for Luka Doncic

Report: Hawks leaning towards Doncic with third overall pick

Never in their prior 50 years have they had the number one overall pick, and never have they had a dominant center, and one in particular with so many prognosticators comparing him to the likes of Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaquille O'Neal, David Robinson, and others.

A scintillating tidbit was dropped earlier today via Jonathan Givony of ESPN claiming that the Sacramento Kings are not particularly interested in Luka Doncic and are, in fact, much higher on Marvin Bagley III out of Duke - who we recently mocked to the Atlanta Hawks with the 3 overall pick.

No other non-college prospect made the cut of those the National Basketball Association expects to be selected in the first round at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Currently, the Atlanta Hawks and Memphis Grizzlies hold the 3rd and 4th picks, respectively.

Senegal fans were also spotted on cleaning duty after they defeated Poland 2-1 at the Spartak Stadium in Moscow, the other game in Group H.

The 2018 National Basketball Association draft is Thursday, June 21 beginning at 4 p.m. PT/7 p.m. ET and the rumor mill is beginning to churn. The Phoenix Suns have four picks in the draft (two in each round), meaning that if they don't make a trade, there will be at least three rookies on the roster next season (presuming the 59th pick is a draft-and-stash).

The Kings have always been known to make wacky draft decisions, perhaps most notably selecting Georgios Papagiannis at #11 in 2016 and then promptly cutting him only one year later. I'm motivated to enter the draft.

The green room is a staging area near the draft podium where players, families and associates await NBA commissioner Adam Silver to call their names upon selection. Just the consensus I get is that people really like Doncic.
