To prosecute migrants, 'you have to take the children away'

Melania Trump speaks out about migrants

He did not immediately provide details of the bill, but said that it resolves the issue of so-called Dreamers, undocumented adult migrants who entered the U.S. as children, "in a very elegant way".

Family separation has seen a recent uptick due to Attorney General Jeff Sessions' "zero-tolerance" policy for illegal entry at the U.S. -Mexico border. "So I'm going to be signing an executive order in a little while before I go to Minnesota".

Ms Nielsen is understood to be going to the White House to discuss the border problems with Mr Trump's team.

Trump has claimed from the beginning that it was a Democratic policy that demanded he separate children from their parents at the border.

He said the administration "should use all tools available to stop needless family separation without delay, and Congress should act swiftly to address the serious challenges facing our nation's immigration system". "Go for it! WIN!"

Under increasing political pressure, President Trump signed an executive order Wednesday that temporarily prevents the separation of families prosecuted for illegally crossing the border.

"Congress and the courts created this problem, and Congress alone can fix it", Nielsen said during a White House press briefing on Monday.

Kawhi Leonard no longer wants to be a Spur
If the Cavaliers proved anything at last season's trade deadline, it's that they're not afraid to make serious moves. Not only that, Leonard now reportedly wants out of San Antonio , with the Lakers being his preferred landing spot.

Trump has been trying to win over Congressional support on immigration amid a crisis along the border involving the separation of immigrant children from their families. He said "we want to keep families together", the New York Times reported.

Following the meeting he tweeted: "Republicans want security".

House Speaker Paul Ryan said the House will vote Thursday on legislation which keeps families together when immigrants are prosecuted at the border.

It comes as families try to make the border crossing in the USA illegally.

Trump continues to blame Congress for not changing immigration laws but the law does not require separating children from their parents. He said separating children was "unacceptable" adding it was "not the way we do things in Canada".

It's unclear whether the president is supportive of the measure. "They really would like to have open borders where anybody in the world can just flow in, including from the Middle East, from anybody anywhere they can just flow into our country".

Justice Department officials told The Times that they did not know whether the policy would resume in 20 days if a federal judge does not give the government power to keep families together a longer period of time. Instead, after the adult is charged, children are held briefly by Homeland Security officials before being transferred to Health and Human Services, which operates more than 100 shelters for minors in 17 states.
