'Never called this human in my life': Fallon responds to Trump's tweet

"As you may have heard, last night, the president of the United States went after me on Twitter", Fallon said.

In September 2016, Fallon welcomed Trump on The Tonight Show and tousled his hair - sparking backlash from critics who claimed Fallon did that to "humanize" the then-presidential candidate. Fallon told the Hollywood Reporter's Awards Chatter podcast that he did not mess up Trump's hair to normalize him and he also never said that he believed in Donald's political views. "He called & said 'monster ratings.' Be a man Jimmy!"

"Before we begin", Fallon said at the top of his monologue, "I just want to give a shout out to our show's No. 1 fan: the president of the United States!"

"Then I thought, 'Wait, shouldn't he have more important things to do?'" Fallon said to laughs. "Then I thought, 'Wait - shouldn't he have more important things to do?' It's insane. Why are you tweeting at me?" the host asked. I agreed to do his show and I guess because I was running at that time, I think, he got tremendous ratings.

Fallon opened his Monday monologue by addressing Trump's tweet head-on, according to a transcript distributed by NBC in advance of tonight's 11:35 p.m. ET debut. He said that other comedians were making fun of his interview with Trump because it was more lighthearted as Fallon usually likes to steer clear of politics. "'You don't even know what you're talking about if you say that I'm evil or whatever.' But people just jump on the train, and some people don't even want to hear anything else".

Tesla Sues Former Employee Over Alleged Sabotage
Tripp , who as of Friday evening had still not secured an attorney, declined to respond to Tesla's new lengthy assertions. Tesla is seeking relief under the Defend Trade Secrets Act, in addition to Nevada's own trade secret statute.

In response to Trump's tweets, Fallon tweeted Sunday that he made a donation in Trump's name to the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services, also known as "RAICES", a nonprofit group that provides legal services to immigrants. Shimkus and the Fox co-hosts condemned Fallon's charity gesture as more "divisiveness", more "Trump-hate". He added that he was sorry and that he'd made a mistake. The president then told Fallon to "be a man".

Recently, the Tonight Show host spoke about Donald Trump's appearance on his show in 2016. "I don't know if you've seen my ratings the past two years - you didn't help my ratings", he added dryly.

"He apologized for humanizing me, the poor guy, because now he is going to lose all of us", Trump told the SC crowd.

"'You know the grind and you know me".
