'Why are you tweeting at me?' Jimmy Fallon hits back at Trump

Trump lashes out at late night hosts 'Are these people funny?'

Fallon had expressed regret at an interview he did with Trump in September 2016 during the US presidential election campaign in which he ruffled his hair.

With a hint of disbelief, Fallon talked about Trump's response to the Red Hen Restaurant, in which Trump claimed the eatery "should focus more on cleaning its filthy canopies, doors and windows (badly needs a paint job) rather than refusing to serve a fine person like Sarah Huckabee Sanders. I can laugh at myself", he said after bemoaning the lack of Johnny Carson-level talent on TV. He added that he was sorry and that he'd made a mistake.

Trump called out Fallon in front of the crowd of his supporters, saying that Fallon "screwed up" his hair and that Fallon was "disappointed" to find that it was real, referring to the 2016 interview where Fallon tussled Trump's hair.

After attacking Fallon at the SC rally, which was meant to support Republican Gov. Henry McMaster, Trump continued his tour of other late night hosts that annoy him, doubling down on his thoughts on Stephen Colbert.

"The President of the United States went after me on Twitter", Fallon told his audience.

Jimmy Fallon responded to President Donald Trump's Twitter swipe at the top of Monday's Tonight Show monologue, explaining his decision to make a donation in Trump's name to an immigrant advocacy group devoted to helping families affected by the administration's extreme approach to undocumented immigration.

Fallon admitted he was initially going to respond back immediately to the president's tweet, but then he realized he had more important things to do.

Trump apparently isn't happy about the 2016 hair incident with Jimmy Fallon.

Fallon tweeted on Sunday that he'd made a donation to the refugee and immigration organization RAICES in the president's name.

"The guy on CBS, what a lowlife", Trump said in reference to Colbert. "I agreed to do his show, and because I guess I was running at the time, he got tremendous ratings on that show", Trump said, according to Variety. "You're the president. Why are you tweeting at me?" "He's lost, he looks like a lost soul". "But you know what he's a nice guy". I'm depressed. Do you want to push me more? "He shouldn't be upset or angry", Trump continued.
