Clippers reportedly trading Rivers to Wizards for Gortat

Report Clippers send Austin Rivers to Wizards for Gortat

ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported Tuesday, citing league sources, that the Los Angeles Clippers have traded guard Austin Rivers to the Washington Wizards for center Marcin Gortat. Though, Washington just recently selected former OR guard Troy Brown in the first round of the 2018 NBA Draft.

Rivers, who has been with the Clippers since 2015, has already made a decision to opt in to the final year of his current deal worth $12.65 million for 2018-19. Prior to the trade, LA had seven guards signed through next season, including rookies Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jerome Robinson.

Gortat started at least 80 games in four of his five seasons with the Wizards.

France look to continue winning run against Denmark
So I am not interested in the other match until it's over. "If I can preserve them, it's now", Deschamps said. That does not mean France will not go deep in, and perhaps even win, the tournament.

Will DeAndre Jordan remain with the club, or will he head to a new team for the upcoming season? The No. 10 pick in the 2012 draft, Rivers has career averages of 9.4 points on 41.9 percent shooting, 2.4 assists and 2.0 rebounds.

Both Rivers and Gortat are in the final year of their contracts. Opting into that contract doesn't necessarily mean Jordan will be in Los Angeles for the 2018-19 season, though. As it stands, this trade is the most obvious signal that Jordan will not be returning next year.
