Celtics Have Reportedly Made Another Trade Offer For Kawhi Leonard

The Lakers, who have rebuilt over the last three years, likely have the assets to put together a package for Leonard, but it would rob them of their depth and young core.

According to Sports Illustrated's Jake Fisher, the Spurs' top target in a potential Leonard trade is Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. Leonard played in only nine games this season, scoring 16.2 points a night, well below his average of 25.5 in 2016-17. The Spurs are reportedly only interested in sending the two-time Defensive Player of the Year and former Finals MVP to the Eastern Conference, though Leonard has made it known that he would prefer to land in Los Angeles.

The Spurs finished last season at 47-35, their lowest regular-season win total since 1999.

In the report, ESPN's Ramona Shelburne, Adrian Wojnarowski and Brian Windhorst detail that the Spurs are looking for a better package than the Cavaliers and Pacers got for Kyrie Irving and Paul George prior to free agency past year. They have denied he is communicating with Kevin Durant about joining up in Los Angeles.

Federer eyes ninth Wimbledon title but wary of Nadal threat
He looked every bit the Wimbledon contender as he aims to return to the stage where he lost to Federer in the final a year ago . Rafael Nadal holds a 50-point edge over Federer in the rankings and will hold onto No. 1 for at least the next three weeks.

It's no secret that the Boston Celtics and San Antonio have talked about a trade to send Kawhi Leonard to Boston.

Leonard has been adamant that he doesn't want to step into the San Antonio locker room again, and the Spurs have been adamant that they won't be forced into a trade, or a timetable, prior to the February trading deadline, league sources said.

James has also applied pressure to LA by saying he would make a decision soon. The Spurs are seeking more in return, and it's hard to believe that one unproven player and a future draft pick that might be close to a second-rounder would be almost enough.

Throw Kuzma in there. What if the Lakers then can't get any free agents next summer? "Not because of LeBron himself, the person or the basketball player, but because of the paparazzi-like atmosphere he will ultimately create in L.A. Kawhi ain't built that way". Once draft picks are signed, they can not be traded for 30 days.
