Mbappe to donate his entire Russian Federation 2018 match bonuses to charity

Man Utd transfer news Kylian Mbappe

19-year-old Mbappe wants to donate his entire worldwide match fees to charity, because he feels he should not be paid to represent his country, reports Mirror UK.

Fifteen months after his first selection en bleu, Mbappé became France's youngest World Cup scorer, and in dispatching Lionel Messi and Argentina. Mbappe-affiliate charity Premiers de Cordees - a children's charity which focuses on the disabled - will also benefit.

Mbappe turned down Chelsea and Liverpool, but could have easily been an Arsenal player.

He has seven goals in 19 internationals so far, including three in Russian Federation.

If France do go on to lift their second World Cup, Mbappe's transfer fee may very well be a bargain, with his stock rising with every game.

"I'm very happy and it's flattering to be the second teenager [to score twice in a World Cup game] after Pele but let's put things in context: Pele is another category, but it's good to be among these people", he said.

On Saturday, with his performance against the Albiceleste, the player demonstrated that his background work has already started bearing fruits. The previous teenager to score twice in a game was a 17-year-old Brazilian named Pelé in the 1958 World Cup final.

The South Americans couldn't live with the 19-year-old's pace, and he won a penalty and scored two goals of his own in the 4-3 thriller.

Mbappe's mega-money move to Paris Saint-Germain last summer stunned the football world.

"But this is somebody who was a world champion compared to a young player who has lots of ability and qualities".
