Microsoft details its 'pocketable' Surface device in leaked email

The Next Microsoft Surface May Fit in Your Pocket

More and more, it really does seem that this device will be the mythical Surface Phone that Microsoft and Windows fans have always been hoping for.

Andromeda's design is described as having a "wraparound" display that spans the device's hinge and folds outwards in a manner that The Verge says looks identical to 3D renders created by David Breyer. It's supposed to be released this year, so expect it to appear somewhere this Autumn.

Another important detail obtained by The Verge is that the display will extend over the length of the front face of the newfangled gadget, and over the hinge when the device is fully open to present a almost seamless single display, as opposed to two separate displays just held together by a single substrate.

While the picture posted on Twitter does not qualify for official confirmation that Microsoft is actively working on its Andromeda project, but the tweet of the upcoming dual-screen/hinge device does indicate that an official reveal of the device may happen sooner rather than later.

Lakers Dodged A Bullet Missing Out On Paul George
The four-year, $137 deal he signed would keep him in Oklahoma City for awhile, which is why it surprised many fans and analysts. Presti gambled a year ago by trading for George and Carmelo Anthony to join Westbrook in hopes of rejoining the NBA's elite.

Microsoft's next big piece of hardware, Andromeda, may just fit in your pocket.

Ah, the Surface Phone. It's also likely the device would also dock with a Surface Keyboard in order to create a more traditional notebook-style device.

Interestingly LG has been connected with Microsoft in the past, with the Economic Times of Korea reporting in January that LG has secured Microsoft, amongst others for its new foldable displays for smartphones and tablets. Renders (see below) created by David Breyers look nearly exactly like the current prototype's, according to The Verge's sources. This is a clear indication that the company has plans to launch a dual-screen mobile device in the near future.
