Park wins Women's PGA Championship

Ryu So-yeon fired her second straight three-under 69 at the Women's PGA Championship on Friday to grab a share of the halfway stage lead with Brooke Henderson and Park Sung-hyun.The two-time major champion from South Korea posted one of the few sub-par rounds in the morning at the Kemper Lakes course.

So it was an understandable moment of relief, then, when her 10-foot birdie putt on the second playoff hole found the mark, seeing off compatriot So Yeon Ryu.

Play was suspended for 20 minutes during the play-off in poor weather.

Further down the leaderboard, two-time major champion Lydia Ko shot a second-round 66 but saw her hopes of contending falter when she followed that up with a 73 and final-day 76, ultimately finishing up tied for 31st.

Park clinched her first major title less than a year ago at the U.S. Women's Open.

"Hopefully tomorrow I can just go out and put a good score together and just kind of see what happens", said Henderson, who will play in a group on Sunday with Ryu and Park.

The South Koreans, who shared LPGA Player of the Year award in 2017, reached the green at the par-four 16th, the second play-off role, when play was suspended for risky weather.

Park had failed to make the cut at five of the 12 events she'd played this season, looking a shadow of her former self heading to the Kemper Lakes Golf Club in IL this week.

Third-parties may read your Google Mail emails if you allow it
Last year , Google assured its users that its computers would stop scanning emails and keep the privacy and security paramount. Some Gmail users may be shocked when they realize that humans may have read their emails on Gmail.

"I got less nervous during the playoff. That's what really made me cry".

"It's better to think about winning the tournament, better to keep telling yourself how confident you are", Ryu said.

She also won the Meijer LPGA Classic two weeks ago in MI for her sixth LPGA Tour victory.

"I think I've been waiting for this for such a long time since I've been having a tough year", she said. If I look back, nothing I can do any better than that. I just did 100 percent effort. I like looking at the positive side.

Hataoka, 19, won her first LPGA title last week in Arkansas and with more than US$546,000 in the past eight days has eclipsed her prior career earnings.

But Ryu birdied the par-3 sixth and par-5 seventh to restore a two-stroke edge at 11-under.

Ryu was able to increase her lead to two shots with a birdie on the same hole, but her tee shot on the 17th went into the water.

Park and Ryu both missed good birdie chances at the final hole of regulation but proved quick learners at the same par-four to start the playoff.
