Shenmue I & II To Launch Next Month On PC And Consoles

The new features that have been added to the games include scalable resolutions, updated UI elements, PC graphics options, modern and classic control schemes to choose from, and the inclusion of both Japanese and English voice work.

Shenmue was originally released on the Dreamcast back in 1999, and coined its own sub-genre; FREE, which stands for Full Reactive Eyes Entertainment.

With a post on his official website, Major Nelson confirmed that the two classic games from SEGA will be released on August 20th.

What makes this intriguing is that at the time of this listing, Sega has yet to officially confirm a release date for the anticipated re-release of both Shenmue games.
