Samsung phones sent photos to random contacts, users say

Someone looking at their smartphone shocked

The seemingly misbehaving app is the default messaging tool on Samsung's Android devices. This will keep your phone from sending anything stored on it, whether you're looking to do that intentionally or not. Other devices are not facing the issue as of now.

In one account, Reddit user Rubsumlotion claimed his Samsung Galaxy S9+ sent his "entire photo gallery over text" to his girlfriend.

Additional owners of the Galaxy S9, S9+ and Note 8 devices have complained about picture dumps, prompting one Reddit user to quip: "Do S9's come with divorce lawyers?"

They only discovered when the recipient of these photos answered back inquiring about the mysterious messages. "Concerned customers are encouraged to contact us directly at 1-800-SAMSUNG", Samsung said in a statement. The issue seems to be limited to T-Mobile customers in the United States.

The RCS is created to enhance the outdated SMS protocol with new features but it appears there is a problem in how the RCS is handled in Samsung Messages which is causing phones to randomly send pictures messages.

Trump warns WTO: US will act if not treated properly
If the goal was to get lower tariffs for US exports, Trump could do that by negotiating trade agreements, he said. The bill was named the United States Fair and Reciprocal Tariff Act - immediately dubbed the FART Act.

It wasn't too long ago that Samsung had to recall the Galaxy Note 7 after a huge number of reports surrounding battery failures and explosions. Either way, you should probably stick to your solution for at least a week after a new update with a fix is released, just to be sure everything is working properly.

It is believed the bug could be due to a new messaging standard called RCS, which is created to make texting look more like a messaging app, complete with read receipts and typing indicators.

Many people speculate that this is being caused by the recent update to RCS profile rolled out by T-Mobile.

'I think it has something to do with the Samsung SMS app being updated from the Galaxy Store.

If you have been affected by the photo sharing bug, you might want to consider switching to another messaging app until the company is able to determine what is going on.
