Daniel Cormier only willing to fight a ‘clean’ Brock Lesnar

Twitter reacts to Daniel Cormier's historic UFC 226 title win Brock Lesnar confrontation

He became only the second fighter to hold belts in different weight classes simultaneously after knocking out Stipe Miocic in the first round of their heavyweight title bout at UFC 226.

Prior to the loss, his first since 2014, Miocic set the record for the most consecutive defenses of the UFC heavyweight championship. Right when he got to my seat on the side he was acting like a lunatic.

If you've been waiting for Daniel Cormier to take on Brock Lesnar then today's your lucky day. Suddenly, UFC had a double champion for only the second time in the company's history.

The only obstacles standing in the way right now would be Lesnar's current situation with USADA (United States Anti-Doping Agency) and his contract with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). The story is created to make Brock look as if he is actually holding the championship hostage so that whoever ends up facing him will get a babyface reaction when going up against a heel Lesnar. That's like the Stone Age.

"I know what he's capable of doing, but it's nothing that scares me", Miocic said. "DC" got on the mic and told Lesnar, watching on as a spectator, to "get his ass" in the Octagon.

The fight barely over, Cormier began promoting the next.

House of Cards Fourth of July Season 6 Teaser
The eight-episode season 6 of House of Cards will revolve around Robin Wright as US President Claire Underwood. Posted to Twitter, it finds Wright as President Claire Underwood , declaring: "Happy Independence Day".

The intensity of his rivalry with Jones, who is still awaiting sanctioning from USADA for his positive test after the Cormier fight previous year, is in stark contrast to his relationship with Lesnar.

"This is the ultimate thing you can do in this sport", Cormier said. "So I'll do fake fighting with you until I put my fists upside your face".

Despite the fact that the latest pay-per-view event for the UFC is not even 24-hours in the books, it hasn't stopped oddsmakers from releasing the odds for this super fight.

Lesnar still has to serve the remainder of a USADA issued suspension after a pair of failed drug tests in line with UFC 200. "I never knew what I could become, but tonight I got the answer". Anthony Pettis was back to his old, impressive self at UFC 226.

That fight is expected to be the main event of UFC 230 at New York's Madison Square Garden in November, according to multiple reports, though Dana White could not confirm the date at Saturday's post-fight press conference.
