Infinity War's Thanos inspires one of the biggest bans in Reddit history

With that out of the way, Reddit is going to experience its biggest forum ban ever on July 9th when the moderators of the thanosdidnothingwrong subreddit randomly ban half their members. Subscriner numbers ballooned from just over 50,000 users to almost half-a-million in a week as the worldwide community hopped aboard the fad (or "hype train"; youth lingo).

Directors Anthony and Joe Russo offered a tease of what is to come by posting a message from Josh Brolin performing the "Thanos snap" with "Reddit, Thanos has a message for you".

While some fans are still feeling low over the events that unfolded in Avengers: Infinity War, the others are completely enticed by the film's antagonist Thanos played by Josh Brolin. If that number keeps climbing this could be one of the biggest (if not the biggest) bans in Reddit history.

Robin Wright speaks about ex-'House of Cards' star Spacey
Wright revealed on Monday that she has not spoken to her former onscreen husband since the allegations were made against him. Netflix ultimately fired Spacey, 58, from the series in November, ahead of its sixth and final season.

Since the Russo Brothers posted the video, which was shortly before 10 AM Pacific time, the initial tweet has gained over 4.6 thousand likes and it's been retweeted over 1,000 times. If you are one of the lucky users that's chosen, you can join the r/inthesoulstone subreddit support group. Therefore, he was at least theoretically vulnerable to "the Snap", which reduced half of the MCU's characters to dust. Let's hope he doesn't take it too hard, who knows what it could mean for the production of Avengers 4. Where Thanos sacrificed Gamora, his favorite daughter, The-Jedi-Apprentice will themselves be banned.

There's still plenty of time to subscribe to the Thanos Did Nothing Wrong subreddit to see if you make the cut or not. Twitter user Anton Volkov shared a certificate for the German home video release of Infinity War. His motivation? To halve the serious strain overpopulation is exacting on the fictional universe, and bring balance to all things - as things should be.
