Maisie Williams bids bloody farewell to Game of Thrones

Maisie Williams Said Goodbye to Game of Thrones in a Very Game of Thrones Way

With Game of Thrones coming to a close in its final season when it airs on HBO next year, the actors are slowly but surely saying goodbye to the fantasy series. She is wearing black jeans and white sneakers covered in fake blood.

Williams' post comes just two weeks after Emilia Clarke shared a goodbye photo of her own, paying tribute to her last time playing Daenerys Targaryen.

Game of Thrones' creators work hard to stop spoilers from getting out, but Maisie Williams may be working harder.

Although the eighth and final season of the show is to hit screens in 2019, most of the characters have wrapped up filming for it. "What a joy I've had. Goodbye Game of Thrones", she wrote alongside the photo. "Here's to the adventures to come".

With the long wait ahead for the final season, Game of Thrones' creators have been using multiple ways to prevent storylines from reaching the public, including filming multiple endings for the series finale and likely keeping secrets from the cast.

While many of Maisie's followers were busy analysing the image, others took to the comment section to congratulate her on a job well done.

Just one month earlier, Williams opened up about how "surreal" it was to end Game of Thrones during her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

"That would be awful if I got the ending tattooed on my body, just before the last season came out", she told Digital Spy.
