Modric reveals Croatia biggest concern ahead of England clash

Jordan Henderson-injury

England have made their way to the semi-finals of the World Cup, the first time they have done so since Italia 1990.

Croatia, however, may not have the luxury of naming an unchanged side, with several key players missing training on Monday. "The higher the level of opponent, if you press in a disorganised fashion, then you will get picked through and we have got to be conscious of that", he said.

Danijel Subasic will play through the pain barrier to help Croatia achieve their dream of playing in a World Cup final this weekend.

While Croatia possess arguably the best central midfield pairing in the tournament in the shape of Real Madrid's Luka Modric and Barcelona's Ivan Rakitic, Southgate's language does not indicate he is about to bring in Eric Dier as an additional defensive midfielder alongside Jordan Henderson.

But Henderson is confident the issue will not prevent him from lining up in Gareth Southgate's starting XI in Moscow.

Trump says U.S. had opposed formula limits, not breastfeeding
A spokesperson for the Department of Health and Human Services, in an email to the Times , defended the administration's stance. Another section called on countries to restrict promotion of food products that could have harmful effects on children.

But he is certainly well aware of the threat that Croatia pose in the centre of the field. "They have a lot of youngsters, but they are really good, fast, they play for great clubs".

Gareth Southgate's side's potency from set-pieces was certainly on the minds of Croatia after they were forced into penalties by Russian Federation.

While the set piece has been England's most decisive weapon on their run to the semi-finals, and they won a penalty shootout to beat Colombia, Croatia will feel they have the edge if the match remains deadlocked after extra time. We go 1-0 down, in danger of going home.

But they face their sternest test yet in the semi-finals when they come up against Croatia.
