'Unprecedented Level of Animus!' Strzok Gets His Smackdown for Anti-Trump Bias

In an explosive, hourslong congressional hearing Thursday, FBI agent Peter Strzok was defiant as Republicans unleashed blistering attacks, saying his anti-Trump sentiment - captured in personal text messages - is evidence of bias at the Justice Department.

Two Republican congressmen, Reps.

Page worked on the special counsel's Russian Federation investigation, and her anti-Trump text messages with Peter Strzok fueled several investigations into whether the DOJ and FBI showed bias during the Russian Federation probe and the investigation into Hillary Clinton's email server.

"There is new information", he told reporters.

He continued, "What can she possibly say about her statements and lies".

"The credibility of a witness is always an issue", Gohmert said after others in the room exclaimed in shock over the comments. "We did not see the smug attitude that we saw from Strozk".

As you heard on this clip, there was a lawyer that sat behind him the entire time and directed him not to answer any questions about the Russian Federation investigation. "And, today, Special Counsel Mueller indicted twelve Russian military officers for hacking the Democratic National Committee - a direct attack on our democracy".

"She's an irrelevant actor in a sideshow", Rep. Jamie Raskin, a Maryland Democrat, said of Page.

Peter Strzok testified publicly for the first time since being removed from special counsel Robert Mueller's team after the discovery of derogatory text messages he traded with an Federal Bureau of Investigation lawyer.

Man arrested after huge boulder falls off truck, kills mother and daughter
Investigators searched for construction sites and spoke with workers who may have seen the truck, a 1999 Sterling Acterra. Jena Christiansen worked as a general manager for several Red Lobster restaurants in the area, her boyfriend said.

"It's much more sedate, much more calm", said Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi, an Illinois Democrat. "And there is a question as to the propriety of that before the House", he added.

The ICIG spotted the oversight after the Federal Bureau of Investigation missed it, texts between Strzok and his mistress, former Federal Bureau of Investigation lawyer Lisa Page, show.

She is scheduled to return for additional questioning Monday.

This argument would nearly certainly fall apart before a judge, given the fact that the FBI Inspector General found no evidence that Peter Strzok's "political bias" affected the outcome of either the FBI's investigation into candidate Donald Trump or their investigation into candidate Hillary Clinton.

"He's a liar. I mean he is a good liar", Kallstrom said of Strzok during an interview on "The Evening Edit" on Thursday.

Republicans have repeatedly attempted to throw Strzok's credibility into question, accusing him of harboring political bias during his work on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigatory team from which he was sacked after the messages surfaced. All of that is quite a turnaround from a couple of days ago when Rep. Goodlatte said she would be held in contempt of Congress if she failed to show up and testify.

In the end, the hearing did more to harm Congress and the Federal Bureau of Investigation than it did to expose wrongdoing.

The South Carolina Republican later issued a statement on the latest indictment, "As I have repeatedly said, it is clear, based on the evidence, Russian Federation had disdain for Secretary Clinton and was motivated in whole or in part by a desire to harm her candidacy or undermine her presidency had she prevailed".
