WWE forgives Hulk Hogan, paves way for possible TV return

PERTH AUSTRALIA- NOVEMBER 24 Hulk Hogan gestures to the audience during his Hulkamania Tour at the Burswood Dome

The World Wresting Entertainment Hall of Fame announced the reinstatement of Hulk Hogan Sunday as rumors swirled of Hogan's return to the sport. He even referenced the scandal while being inducted into the Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame earlier this year. Hogan is backstage at tonight's Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Pittsburgh and met with Superstars & officials before the show.

But back in 2015 the WWE cut ties with Hulk Hogan. Sound off in the comments.

WWE fans however also poured praise on Hogan saying he had earned his second chance. Hogan was said to be very emotional as he shook hands and hugged talents at the end of the meeting.

Adding more layers to the mystery, Hogan tweeted out a picture of his "backyard", insinuating that he was home and relaxing, taking in the shoreline scenery in Clearwater Beach, California.

His controversial exit some years ago suggested that the doors were firmly shut on the wrestling icon ever making a comeback, but the WWE seems to be softening their stance on one of the all-time greats being associated with the company again. Hogan was awarded a multi-million dollar judgement against Gawker, which ultimately led to the company selling many of its assets.

Trump says 'might' ask Putin to extradite accused Russian hackers
The fresh indictments prompted a number of USA senators, all but one Democrats, to request Trump cancel his summit with Putin . Trump said, "We had a truly great Summit" and claims it was "inaccurately covered by much of the media".

Hogan apologised, but his reputation was dragged through the mud, with revelations of homophobic slurs on the sex tape itself and reports that he'd used racist language in a 2008 phone call to his son soon coming to light.

He wrote: "Just met with the WWE Superstars and on all levels the volume of love and support was overwhelming".

Now that he's back in the WWE Hall of Fame, Hogan's return to television might not be far behind.

The wrestler responded on Twitter, saying that he had "been praying for this day". Following matches at consecutive SummerSlams in 2005 and 2006 with Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton, respectively, Hogan took a long hiatus from the company but returned in 2014 as the host of WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans.

Some fans said "those of us who look for positivity and redemption in this world can't help but be happy" and "people can change and deserve a second chance".
