The 28-year-old Dutch global will sign a four-year contract at his former club Ajax in due course.

Manchester United's Daley Blind is set for a return to Ajax after the two clubs reportedly agreed a £14.1m fee for the defender.

The left-back shone at the tournament and promptly followed Louis Van Gaal to Old Trafford. The transfer fee is 16 million euros (18.7 million US dollars), which can increase to 20.5 million euros, including bonuses.

A former Ajax youth academy prospect, Blind made his debut with the Eredivisie side in 2008 and went on to play 143 times with the club. Since the arrival of Jose Mourinho the centre back, who can also play in midfield, has been used sparingly.

Hogan is backstage at tonight's Extreme Rules pay-per-view in Pittsburgh and met with Superstars & officials before the show. He wrote: "Just met with the WWE Superstars and on all levels the volume of love and support was overwhelming".

Blind saw just 360 minutes of Premier League action last season and was behind Ashley Young and Luke Shaw in his favoured left-back position.

Blind joined United in 2014 after a stellar World Cup with the Netherlands and has made 141 appearances for the club in total, scoring six goals and winning the FA Cup, League Cup, the Europa League and the Community Shield. With Ajax he clinched four Dutch league titles.

"I think Daley is a fantastic player", the Ajax chief told Omnisport.

The Dutch giants have now agreed a fee with Manchester United of an initial €16m, potentially rising as high as €21m, according to Dutch daily De Telegraaf.
