Google Search Job Hunt Feature Now Live in the UK

You just have to type about the jobs you are looking for in the search bar and Google will do rest of the work for you.

Much like its search engine, Google's job section is free to use and will be supported by adverts, says tech blog Gizmodo.

The launch of the UK Google jobs search service sees an expansion of the service that's already available in the US, Spain and some areas of Africa.

With this new tool, Google's starting small.

A job search can be tedious as one has to sift through countless web pages, newspaper ads and the likes.

"Today, more and more people are turning to Google to find information about their next role", said Google Search product manager Joy Xi.

Google's job search feature collects and organises job listings within its search engine. Google is latest technology that boosting American jobs.

Since launching past year, Google has seen 130 per cent more companies showing jobs in Google Search.

Judge orders alleged Russian agent Maria Butina jailed
In a statement to reporters after the hearing, Driscoll said Butina wanted to send love to her parents and tell them she was OK. Butina had been living in Washington since 2016, after coming to the US on a student visa to study at American University.

The tool that has now launched in the United Kingdom is nearly identical to the U.S. version, only the United Kingdom one sorts through positions posted by recruiters located in the same country.

Reed, Guardian Jobs, Haymarket and Totaljobs.com are among those providing listings, in addition to global sites such as LinkedIn and Glassdoor.

The 14-year-old firm also acts as a listings aggregator and claims to be the world's most popular jobs hunt service with more than 200 million unique visitors a month.

The results aim to streamline such listings by eliminating duplicate jobs posted on different sites.

Reed.co.uk's director of marketing Mark Rhodes said: 'Early signs from our testing with Google show jobseekers arriving at reed.co.uk via this new search experience are application-ready, with a high level of intent, so we anticipate seeing a positive impact on the quality and volume of applications we supply to our recruitment clients'.

However, People Management magazine's editor, Robert Jeffrey, told the BBC that the news "represents a risk" for third-party job-hosting sites.

That means when job hunters use the Google search service, they'll see details of suitable jobs advertised by the above group of firms, all in one place. "But undoubtedly it will start charging for placement and other premium services".
