Risk for flooding Wednesday

Much of the severe flooding in America has occurred around the Mississippi River and in Texas, as well as along the Gulf Coast and Florida, because those areas are vulnerable to hurricanes.

Mostly cloudy skies continue with a daily chance of rain and storms.

The National Weather Service is forecasting rain and thunderstorms moving east across Massachusetts Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.

A low temperature around 70 degrees is forecast for Wednesday night.

Doppler radar indicated heavy rain lifting north into southeastern Pennsylvania, and will continue to fall in the Berks area through the morning commute. An approaching cold front also helps keep the rain chances alive, but it does finally bring us a break once it crosses through the region.

Iran's Rohani: Trump's 'cheap remarks' not worth responding to
Bagheri said Iran had "never instigated war" and "wanted peace and stability in the region". The White House has announced that it would bring Iran's oil sales down to "zero".

The forecast for the Williambsurg area calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms through the weekend. There's a tiny chance for a couple thunderstorms Saturday, but there should be a decent amount of dry time. "There may be heavy downpours with some of the showers which may cause localized flooding". Temperatures reach the lower to middle 80s on both days and the mugginess continues.

The upper-level low which prompted several rounds of strong thunderstorms over the weekend is spinning around just to our west this morning and it will meander close by for at least the first half of the week.

Tuesday and Wednesday will be cool for late July, with highs in the low to mid 80s.

The rain on Wednesday poses the greatest risk for flooding.
