Woman helps man short on cash, discovers he's Keith Urban

US woman pays for Keith Urban's snacks

On Friday, retired teacher Ruth Reed was standing in line at a Wawa in Medford, New Jersey, when a male customer asked a fellow patron if she had any cash.

The country star played Camden's BB&T Pavilion on Friday night, which he said he nearly called "the PB&J Center" in a video following the performance.

"Being at the right place at the right time and too stupid to recognize Keith Urban when you see him".

The singer thanked Reed and said his name was Keith, prompting Reed to comment on his resemblance to Keith Urban.

A few years ago she made it a New Year's resolution to do it weekly. Little did she know that man was country music star Keith Urban.

Reed, a teacher in Medford for more than 30 years before retiring and now working as a substitute, said picking up Urban's tab is part of her regular routine at the popular South Jersey convenience chain.

She overheard Urban ask a companion for $5 and said he looked like he could use some help.

Elon Musk says he's considering taking Tesla private
They were initially driven higher after the Financial Times reported Saudi Arabia has quietly built a big stake in Tesla . On April Fool's Day, Mr Musk, who owns nearly 20% of the company, joked on Twitter about Tesla going bankrupt.

Reed admitted she took some convincing and even got "snippy" with him.

Reed says she hopes her story will help people realize the importance of doing acts of kindness.

Reed said that's when she noticed his body guards and realized she really had paid for Keith Urban.

"And he really could have said, 'Lady, get away from me!'" she said.

Still, she agreed to keep her word and pay for Urban.

Reed, who is very shy, has been getting a lot of attention over her interaction with Urban.
